Consistent design by custom shell engineers

The engineers in charge of custom inter-shell production for the ST series of the group brand "Acoustune" have used precise dimensional design and carefully selected materials. Since most people's ear canals are elliptical rather than circular, a correlation analysis was conducted based on the ear shape data of over 500 people, and an elliptical shape with a ratio that provides a stable fit and a tight seal was adopted.

Umbrella design that combines a sense of air-tightness with comfort

The umbrella part of the ear tip is the part that touches the ear directly, and while increasing the pressure increases the sense of air-tightness and stability, it also causes itching and pain when worn for long periods of time.

As mentioned above, the MDX30 has an ellipse shape, and the material of the umbrella part is set to a softness similar to that of the inside of the ear canal,  reducing the burden on the ear.
In addition, the umbrella part that touches the inside of the ear canal is designed to be flat, reducing pressure while allowing it to come into contact with the ear canal widely. This simultaneously ensures a comfortable fit and a sense of air-tightness.

Shaft design that ensures strength and conform-ability to the inside of the ear canal

The shaft of the ear tip is made of a material that is harder than the umbrella material, and ribs are placed inside to suppress spatial deformation inside the shaft. This allows the umbrella part, which is made of a material with lower hardness, to fit firmly into the ear canal, achieving natural acoustic characteristics with little embellishment.

In addition, the umbrella design reduces pressure inside the ear canal and the shaft is designed to be longer to allow for natural insertion deep into the ear canal.
