2DD + 2 EST Hybrid Driver Configuration

Eploys a four-driver hybrid architecture comprising two dynamic drivers and two electrostatic drivers, allowing each driver type to operate within the frequency range it handles best. The two dynamic drivers are assigned to the bass and the mid-to-upper-mid frequencies respectively, establishing the sound’s weight, density, and main tonal body. The two Sonion electrostatic drivers extend into the treble and ultra-high-frequency regions, adding air, harmonics, and subtle spatial information captured in the recording.


Aluminium Faceplate and Optical-Resin Shell

Mímisbrunnr features a deep emerald optical-resin shell paired with an aluminium faceplate, using the contrast between the two materials to create a clear sense of visual depth. The optical resin offers excellent moulding flexibility, allowing the enclosure to follow the contours of the ear more closely for improved fit and stability. Its transparent quality also presents the intricate internal driver arrangement with greater visual dimension.

The aluminium faceplate is more than a decorative element. Its rigidity and structural stability help control faceplate vibration and enclosure resonance, reducing unwanted acoustic interference. By combining the metal faceplate with the resin shell, Mímisbrunnr maintains a refined standard of craftsmanship while providing a stable operating environment for the entire acoustic system.


Sound Signature

Mímisbrunnr delivers a warm, full-bodied, and spacious sound. Its bass extends deeply with solid weight and elasticity, while remaining controlled and free from excessive bloom. The midrange is natural and well defined, with rich male vocals and smooth, non-fatiguing female vocals. Treble is clear and airy, offering natural extension without relying on excessive brightness.
