In designing the earphone itself, Pentaconn handled everything from driver selection and customization to the internal shape of the housing, material selection, and technical methods.
This product has been developed over a long period of time by bringing together the technologies cultivated as a high-quality Japanese brand.

Earphone series “Scyne”

Origin of Synergy. A series that has been carefully developed with the theme of ``creating an effect greater than the individual parts' ability by combining them.''
We will combine each component one by one from various materials and shapes, and release one combination selected from among them as “Scyne α01”.

LCP dome + LSR (liquid silicone) edge Φ10.2mm composite diaphragm

In order to minimize sound distortion, incidental sounds, and peaks at resonance points, we use an LCP dome, which has high internal loss and is particularly light and hard among resin materials.
For the edge part, we have focused on internal loss and durability, and have adopted an LSR edge that allows for soft and smooth movement.
Achieved a clear and flat frequency response with little distortion.

Adopts N55 neodymium magnet

We use the highest grade neodymium magnet with a magnetic flux density of 1.4T or more. It increases the responsiveness of the diaphragm and accurately reproduces the rise and lingering sound of the sound.

Internal shape design

The shape inside the earphone makes a big difference in the sound quality emitted.
Prototyping various shapes using a 3D printer. The internal shape of the front of the driver suppresses peaks and dips in the high range caused by standing waves, aiming for a sound field with good extension and visibility.
We also considered numerous other shapes and volumes for the rear chamber, and selected over 1,000 combinations to get closer to our target sound quality.

Equipped with double rear chamber

The rear chamber has a double structure to optimize internal air pressure.
By optimizing the damping of the diaphragm, we have maximized the resolution of the driver unit, including tight bass and delicate high-frequency expression.

Equipped with HDSS function

We installed an acoustic module called ETL to reduce the effect on the diaphragm by appropriately absorbing and radiating reflected waves inside the chamber, achieving clear sound with little distortion and a natural sense of presence.

Uses Pentaconn's original PC-Triple C wire for internal wiring.
It has high resolution across all bands and a neat character, and was adopted to improve the sound quality.

Brass + platinum plated housing

The material of the housing and plating has a great effect on the sound quality. In order to improve the resonance, we have reviewed the composition of brass. We selected a line that retains the deep and rich low to mid-low range that is characteristic of brass, but has less quirks and no caged feel.
Platinum is a material used in accessories such as engagement rings, and is a metal that resists tarnishing and maintains its white shine for a long time. Also, in consideration of metal allergies, nickel-free base plating is used. We also decided to adopt it because we thought that it would contribute to sound quality by taking advantage of its material properties, which are hard and suppress unnecessary resonance.


Special new design by the designer. The block-like shape evokes the hardness and heaviness of metal cuttings, aiming to satisfy a sense of luxury and ownership, and the rounded design using circles and streamlined shapes creates a sense of elegance. . In addition, in order to improve the wearing comfort, we considered and adopted a ring design that naturally fits the ear and a smaller housing.
