Description

A Diaphragm Born from Tradition and Innovation

Paper diaphragms excel at elastic, supple mid-to-low frequencies, yet they traditionally lack the rigidity needed for lifelike detail retrieval. To overcome this, final chose authentic Japanese washi paper as the base and reinforced it with carbon fiber. The two materials are fused via high-pressure heat molding, combining washi’s featherweight character with carbon’s stiffness. The result is lightning-fast transient response, abundant musical detail, and a signature paper warmth — achieving a perfect balance of strength and softness.

The driver also adopts a free-edge (edgeless) design, allowing the entire diaphragm to move uniformly. This eliminates uneven stress during large excursions and fully utilizes the 40 mm surface area, producing a monitor-speaker-class soundstage. The front baffle in front of the driver uses glass-fiber-reinforced resin to suppress unwanted resonance, yielding a neutral yet gently warm signature that vividly conveys the force of a performer’s touch and the spatial depth created by effects.


Musical Details That Float in the Air

To further enhance spatial impression and separation, final engineered an all-new rear diffuser array behind the driver. Irregularly arranged diffusion panels reflect and disperse excess energy, dramatically improving clarity and three-dimensionality.

The brand also developed 30 mm ultra-thick earpads using synthetic leather and memory foam. By maintaining optimal distance between driver and ear while ensuring an airtight seal, these pads dramatically improve imaging, separation, and the sensation of being inside a real acoustic space.


Wide System Compatibility

As the entry point to the DX Series, the DX3000CL comes with a dedicated OFC cable terminated in 4.4 mm balanced, complete with a 4.4 mm → 6.3 mm adapter — ready for virtually any setup.


Precision Craftsmanship

From individual components to final assembly, everything is handled in final’s own Japanese factory. The housing is joined exclusively with screws and O-rings (no adhesives), guaranteeing exceptional build quality and long-term serviceability — a testament to final’s relentless pursuit of perfection.
