A new housing that achieves both weight reduction and improved fitting through the use of resin parts.
The HS2000Air retains the casing design of the HS2000 series, but uses aluminum for the housing to achieve both rigidity and lightness. In addition, by newly adopting resin material for some parts, the weight has been reduced by approximately 50% compared to the "HS2000MX SHO-Sho- MKⅢ" when combined with the chamber section. Furthermore, the fit has been improved by making the rounded edges of the resin parts larger than in previous models. Not only is the main unit lighter, but it also provides a superior wearing comfort.
In terms of color lineup, two popular colors from past Acoustune products, "Sage Green (Green)" and "Yellow Gold (Gold)," have been revived. The luxurious feel of the HS2000 series casing design remains, while a range of vibrant color variations are added.
The "ACT09" acoustic chamber features a 5th generation Myrinx driver.
The Myrinx driver is a dynamic driver that employs a "Myrinx diaphragm," which is made by integrally molding the dome and edge portions of Myrinx, a medical-grade synthetic substrate, into a thin film. The Myrinx diaphragm possesses the seemingly contradictory characteristics of being both highly flexible and highly rigid, making it a driver unit with the expressive power to accommodate any sound tuning that Acoustune envisions.
This product employs the newly developed "ACT09" chamber equipped with the 5th generation Myrinx driver. By using aluminum (CNC machined) for the chamber material, just like the housing material, it has been made lighter than previous ACT chambers, contributing to the powerful and detailed sound design of this product.
Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT)
A key feature of Acoustune products is their modular structure, where the acoustic chamber and the mechanism housing are completely separate. This technology, called "Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT)," allows users to safely replace the acoustic chamber themselves by opening and closing a highly precise, low-play movable outer housing, enabling future options and upgrades. The HS2000Air offers 100% compatibility with all ACT chambers in both the HS2000 and HS3000 series. Furthermore, the detachment mechanism has been simplified, allowing for easier customization.
ARS53: A reference hybrid cable with an 8-core configuration.
The included earphone cable, "ARS53," is Acoustune's reference hybrid cable that suppresses conductor resistance while preventing audio signal transmission loss, resulting in improved signal-to-noise ratio across the entire frequency range. It is an 8-core cable (transparent sheath) with a hybrid construction of silver-coated OFC wire and ultra-fine OFC wire (triple shielded/double twisted). The connector uses the "Pentaconn Ear" connector, designed and manufactured by Nippon DICS Co., Ltd., which boasts high sound quality and reliability. Compared to conventional MMCX connectors, the plug and socket make closer contact, resulting in superior conductivity, while also achieving both ease of attachment/detachment and robustness.
Two types of ear tips are included: "AEX07" and "AET02".
This product includes Acoustune's reference ear tips, "AEX07," which maintain the original frequency balance of the earphones while improving comfort and sound isolation. Based on extensive ear shape data and feedback on fit obtained from the production of the 3D custom-fit intershells "ST1000/ST300," the shape has been finely adjusted, including changes to the silicone material and the resulting thickness. The AEX07 comes in five sizes: XS/S/M/L/XL, with one pair of each size included. In addition, foam tips, AET02 (one size only), are also included to support a wider range of fittings.
